VMC Group SFB Integral Steel Fan & Motor Bases are structural steel bases with motorslide rails and open spring isolators with 1" - 5" deflection. The SFB Series are available in various shapes and sizes.

VMC SFB Integral Steel Fan & Motor Bases are designed for fan wheel diameters from 12" - 108" and support motors up to 200hp. They are available for single width and double width fans, classes I,II & III. Bases can be fabricated without motor sliderails for use in other fan arrangements without an integral base. VMC Group Steel Fan & Motor Bases help maintain proper drive alignment and resist starting torque without the use of restraining snubbers.

When an equipment submittal drawing is provided to the VMC Engineering Services division, a properly designed base or rail drawing, indicating isolator model numbers is produced for customer approval. Once approved, drawings are provided to our manufacturing department for fabrication and shipment.

The engineers we employ hold the highest industry-recognized credentials in structural analysis, elastomer development and system dynamics.

Certification

We are the first ISO accredited PCA ISO-17065, third-party certification body for special seismic certification of non-structural building components and their mounting configurations by the ICC’s International Accreditation Service.

Test & Measurement

We are the only ISO 17025:2005 Accredited Seismic Simulation Test Laboratory with a triaxial shake table owned and operated by California licensed Structural engineers.
